Project Hurdles
The biggest challenges with the Central School Apartments project were in reconciling the requirements of the State Historic Preservation Office with the physical attributes and limitations of the building. For example, the concrete frame structure is impressive and long lasting, but makes running new plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems quite difficult.
